Banh Mi

A crusty Vietnamese baguette sandwich layered with pate, pork, and pickled vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 1 baguette
  • 150g grilled or roasted pork
  • 2 tbsp pate
  • Pickled carrot and daikon
  • Cucumber, sliced
  • Cilantro and chilies
  • Mayonnaise and soy sauce

Steps

  1. Slice the baguette lengthwise and lightly toast it.
  2. Spread pate and mayonnaise on the inside.
  3. Layer in pork, pickled carrot and daikon, and cucumber slices.
  4. Drizzle lightly with soy sauce.
  5. Top with cilantro and sliced chilies before closing the sandwich.
