Classic Tiramisu
A no-bake Italian dessert with layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers and mascarpone cream.
Ingredients
- 24 ladyfinger biscuits
- 1.5 cups strong brewed coffee, cooled
- 3 egg yolks
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream, whipped
- Cocoa powder for dusting
Steps
- Whisk egg yolks and sugar over a water bath until thick and pale.
- Fold in mascarpone until smooth, then fold in whipped cream.
- Quickly dip ladyfingers in coffee and arrange in a dish.
- Spread half the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
- Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and remaining cream.
- Dust generously with cocoa powder.
- Chill for at least 4 hours before serving.
