Classic Tiramisu

Classic Tiramisu

A no-bake Italian dessert with layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers and mascarpone cream.

Ingredients

  • 24 ladyfinger biscuits
  • 1.5 cups strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream, whipped
  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Steps

  1. Whisk egg yolks and sugar over a water bath until thick and pale.
  2. Fold in mascarpone until smooth, then fold in whipped cream.
  3. Quickly dip ladyfingers in coffee and arrange in a dish.
  4. Spread half the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  5. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and remaining cream.
  6. Dust generously with cocoa powder.
  7. Chill for at least 4 hours before serving.
