Gado-Gado
An Indonesian vegetable salad with hard-boiled egg, tofu, and rich peanut sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 cups mixed blanched vegetables (cabbage, beans, bean sprouts)
- 1 block tofu, fried and cubed
- 2 hard-boiled eggs
- 1/2 cup peanut sauce
- Fried shallots and crackers (krupuk)
Steps
- Arrange blanched vegetables, tofu, and sliced hard-boiled eggs on a plate.
- Warm or thin the peanut sauce slightly if needed.
- Pour peanut sauce generously over the salad.
- Top with crispy fried shallots and crumbled crackers.
- Serve immediately as a light meal.
