Gado-Gado

An Indonesian vegetable salad with hard-boiled egg, tofu, and rich peanut sauce.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups mixed blanched vegetables (cabbage, beans, bean sprouts)
  • 1 block tofu, fried and cubed
  • 2 hard-boiled eggs
  • 1/2 cup peanut sauce
  • Fried shallots and crackers (krupuk)

Steps

  1. Arrange blanched vegetables, tofu, and sliced hard-boiled eggs on a plate.
  2. Warm or thin the peanut sauce slightly if needed.
  3. Pour peanut sauce generously over the salad.
  4. Top with crispy fried shallots and crumbled crackers.
  5. Serve immediately as a light meal.
