Galbi
Korean grilled beef short ribs marinated in a sweet soy garlic glaze.
Ingredients
- 1kg beef short ribs, butterflied
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 pear or apple, grated
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Black pepper
Steps
- Score the ribs lightly to help the marinade penetrate.
- Mix soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, grated fruit, and garlic into a marinade.
- Marinate ribs for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
- Grill over high heat, turning occasionally, until caramelized and cooked through.
- Rest briefly before slicing between the bones and serving.
