Gulab Jamun
Soft milk dumplings deep fried and soaked in a fragrant rose-cardamom syrup.
Ingredients
- 1 cup milk powder
- 3 tbsp flour
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 2 tbsp ghee
- Milk as needed
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup water
- Cardamom and rose water
Steps
- Mix milk powder, flour, and baking soda with ghee and a little milk into a soft dough.
- Shape into smooth, crack-free balls.
- Boil sugar and water with cardamom into a syrup; keep warm.
- Deep fry the dough balls on low-medium heat until evenly golden brown.
- Soak the fried balls in warm syrup for at least 1 hour before serving.
