Halo-Halo

A festive Filipino shaved ice dessert loaded with sweet beans, jellies, and ube ice cream.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups shaved ice
  • Sweetened red beans and white beans
  • Nata de coco and kaintan jelly
  • 1 scoop ube ice cream
  • Evaporated milk
  • Leche flan (optional topping)

Steps

  1. Layer sweetened beans and jellies at the bottom of a tall glass.
  2. Fill the glass generously with shaved ice.
  3. Top with a scoop of ube ice cream and a slice of leche flan if using.
  4. Drizzle evaporated milk over the top.
  5. Mix everything together before eating.
