Japchae

Stir-fried glass noodles with vegetables and beef in a sweet sesame-soy sauce.

Ingredients

  • 200g sweet potato glass noodles
  • 150g beef, julienned
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 4 shiitake mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • Sesame oil

Steps

  1. Soak noodles in hot water until soft, then drain.
  2. Stir-fry beef, carrot, mushrooms, and spinach separately, seasoning lightly.
  3. Toss noodles in a hot pan with soy sauce, sugar, and sesame oil.
  4. Combine noodles with all the cooked vegetables and beef.
  5. Garnish with sesame seeds and serve warm or at room temperature.
