Khao Tom
A light, soothing Thai rice soup often eaten for breakfast with savory toppings.
Ingredients
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 4 cups chicken stock
- 100g minced pork or shrimp
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- Ginger, julienned
- Fried garlic and cilantro
Steps
- Bring stock to a boil and add minced pork or shrimp, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Add cooked rice and simmer until the soup is well combined and hot.
- Season with soy sauce to taste.
- Ladle into bowls and top with ginger, fried garlic, and cilantro.
- Serve hot with a side of chili sauce.
