Masala Dosa

Masala Dosa

A crispy South Indian rice and lentil crepe filled with spiced potato.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups dosa batter (rice and urad dal, fermented)
  • 3 potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • Curry leaves
  • Oil

Steps

  1. Saute mustard seeds, curry leaves, and onion in oil until softened.
  2. Add turmeric and mashed potato, mixing into a spiced filling.
  3. Heat a flat griddle and spread a thin layer of dosa batter into a large circle.
  4. Drizzle with oil and cook until crisp and golden underneath.
  5. Place potato filling on one side and fold the dosa over.
  6. Serve hot with coconut chutney and sambar.
