Mee Goreng
Spicy Malaysian fried noodles with a tangy tomato and chili kick.
Ingredients
- 300g yellow egg noodles
- 150g shrimp or chicken
- 2 tbsp chili paste
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 egg
- 1 cup bean sprouts
- Fried shallots and lime
Steps
- Stir-fry chili paste in oil until fragrant.
- Add shrimp or chicken and cook through.
- Add noodles and ketchup, tossing to coat evenly.
- Push noodles aside, crack in egg, and scramble before mixing through.
- Add bean sprouts and toss briefly.
- Serve topped with fried shallots and a squeeze of lime.
