Natto Rice Bowl
Fermented soybeans served over warm rice, a beloved Japanese breakfast staple.
Ingredients
- 1 pack natto
- 1 bowl warm steamed rice
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp mustard
- 1 scallion, chopped
- 1 raw egg yolk (optional)
Steps
- Stir natto vigorously with soy sauce and mustard until sticky and stringy.
- Spoon natto over a bowl of warm rice.
- Top with chopped scallion and a raw egg yolk if desired.
- Mix everything together just before eating.
