Pakora
Crispy chickpea-battered vegetable fritters, perfect with tea on a rainy day.
Ingredients
- 1 cup chickpea flour (besan)
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 potato, sliced thin
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp chili powder
- Water
- Oil for frying
Steps
- Whisk chickpea flour with turmeric, chili powder, salt, and water into a thick batter.
- Dip onion and potato slices into the batter, coating evenly.
- Heat oil and deep fry the coated vegetables until golden and crisp.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot with mint or tamarind chutney.
