Rajma Masala
A comforting North Indian kidney bean curry in a rich, spiced tomato gravy.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked kidney beans (rajma)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 2 tsp rajma masala spice blend
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- Cilantro
Steps
- Saute cumin seeds and onion in oil until golden brown.
- Add ginger garlic paste and cook until fragrant.
- Stir in tomato puree and rajma masala, cooking until oil separates.
- Add cooked kidney beans along with some of their cooking liquid.
- Simmer for 20 minutes until the gravy thickens.
- Garnish with cilantro and serve with steamed rice.
