Samosa
Crispy fried pastry triangles filled with spiced potatoes and peas.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 4 tbsp oil, plus extra for frying
- 2 potatoes, boiled and cubed
- 1/2 cup green peas
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp garam masala
- Water as needed
Steps
- Mix flour, oil, and a pinch of salt with water into a firm dough; rest for 20 minutes.
- Saute cumin seeds, potatoes, peas, and garam masala into a spiced filling.
- Roll dough into circles, cut in half, and shape into cones.
- Fill each cone with potato mixture and seal the edges with water.
- Deep fry at medium heat until golden and crisp.
- Serve hot with tamarind or mint chutney.
