Sate Ayam

Sate Ayam

Grilled Indonesian chicken skewers served with a rich, sweet peanut sauce.

Ingredients

  • 500g chicken thigh, cubed
  • 3 tbsp sweet soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • Bamboo skewers
  • 1/2 cup peanut sauce
  • Cucumber and shallots

Steps

  1. Marinate chicken cubes in sweet soy sauce and coriander powder for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Thread chicken onto skewers.
  3. Grill over hot coals or a grill pan, turning and basting with marinade, until charred and cooked through.
  4. Serve skewers with warm peanut sauce drizzled on top.
  5. Garnish with cucumber and shallots.
