Sushi Rolls (Maki)

Classic rolled sushi with seasoned rice, nori, and fresh fillings like cucumber and crab.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sushi rice, cooked and seasoned with vinegar
  • 4 sheets nori
  • 1 cucumber, julienned
  • 200g crab stick or fresh fish
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • Soy sauce and pickled ginger

Steps

  1. Lay nori on a bamboo mat and spread an even layer of sushi rice.
  2. Arrange cucumber, crab, and avocado in a line across the rice.
  3. Roll tightly using the mat, applying even pressure.
  4. Slice the roll into bite-sized pieces with a sharp, wet knife.
  5. Serve with soy sauce, wasabi, and pickled ginger.
