Sweet and Sour Pork

Crispy battered pork tossed in a vibrant sweet and tangy sauce with peppers and pineapple.

Ingredients

  • 400g pork shoulder, cubed
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 bell pepper, chunked
  • 1/2 cup pineapple chunks
  • 3 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • Oil for frying

Steps

  1. Coat pork cubes in cornstarch and deep fry until golden and crispy.
  2. Whisk ketchup, vinegar, and sugar into a sauce.
  3. Stir-fry bell pepper briefly, then add the sauce and bring to a simmer.
  4. Add pineapple and fried pork, tossing to coat evenly.
  5. Serve immediately while the pork is still crispy.
