Tonkatsu
Crispy breaded deep-fried pork cutlet, served with shredded cabbage and tonkatsu sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 pork loin cutlets
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 egg, beaten
- Flour for dusting
- Oil for deep frying
- Shredded cabbage
- Tonkatsu sauce
Steps
- Pound pork cutlets lightly and season with salt and pepper.
- Dredge in flour, then egg, then panko breadcrumbs.
- Deep fry at 180C until golden brown and cooked through.
- Rest briefly, then slice into strips.
- Serve over shredded cabbage with tonkatsu sauce drizzled on top.
